HWA Jury Member

I'm a member of the Horror Writers Association, and this year I was a jury member for the Bram Stoker Awards in the non-fiction category.
I loved the whole process and got to be part of a really smart panel of jurors ( I have to mention one, Leslie S. Klinger, he was amazing. Be lucky if you have him as the editor of your book!).
And there were some amazing books that qualified this year that were very impressive.
As soon as I can, I will list a few that I thought were particularly well written.
The only disappointment was how many books actually ended up qualifying —
Just 11 books!
I guess what I'm saying is that if you were interested in snagging a Bram Stoker Award, perhaps think about writing a non-fiction book. The competition will probably be tough, like any of the other categories, but maybe not as many competitors...
